    What is strip-till?

Strip-till is a tillage system where soil is tilled ahead of planting. The strips are about one third the row width and 4 to 8 inches deep. Fertilizer is often incorporated at the same time. Seeds are planted directly into the strip of loosened soil.

What are the benefits of strip-till?

    • Reduce water erosion
    • Reduce wind erosion
    • Improve soil organic matter content
    • Allows for injecting nutrients directly into row areas
    • Improved germination due to increased soil temperatures
